A couple of days ago, I visited the Jockey retail store at Adyar, Chennai, to pick up a few pairs. Was surprised to see a charming sales girl in the men's section. She welcomed me in which gave a feel good of customer service. Another male bastion invaded by females, I thought !!!
"Can I help you?" she asked with a smile.
(to loosen or drop my pants ????) I was taken aback momentarily !!!
"Thanks, I am fine", I said with a sheepish grin. "I am looking to pick up some jocks", I countered with a naughty smile.
"What' your size"??? She asked
(Uh uh, trying to size me up ???)
Maintaining my composure, I told her my size and my color preferences (thankfully she did not smirk !!!)
Then the faux pas happened !!! Handing me a couple of pairs she asked me "Do you want to try them" ???
"TRY THEM !!!, Do your customers actually try them before buying??? Hell no, then I wouldn't want to buy them" !!! I said. !!!
Realizing the faux pas, she tried to cover up by telling me "No Sir, would you like to see them"
"I already know what they look like", I told her with a wink. "Please pack them, I requested"
